A final batch of 26 Saab 9-3 convertibles has arrived for sale in the UK.
The cars are being brought into the country by Saab Parts UK, the company set up to support owners now that production of the Saab range in Sweden has ceased, and will be distributed via the 87-strong network of UK Saab dealers, which were recently reborn as Saab Authorised Repairers.
Saab convertibles, starting with the early 900 models, have been a popular choice for about twenty-five years. On-the-road prices for these last representatives of the line will start at £22,750. Equipment levels will be generous, especially on the Independence Edition, of which only seven examples are being imported. The cars have been finished off by Saab's main dealer in the company's home town, Trollhättan, ANA, and are available with turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engines providing 163 or 220 horsepower and 1.9-litre turbodiesels with 160 or 180 horsepower. The Independence Edition models are fitted with the more powerful diesel paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
