Zenos: Sports car manufacturer lays out expansion plans
Having only planned to build 80 cars in 2015, the Norfolk-based outfit certainly has room to grow
Sports car manufacturer Zenos wants to expand.
Having only planned to build 80 cars in 2015, to be fair it has room to grow. But it’s already sold them all – so it looks like the company needs to get bigger to keep pace with demand.
The cars in question are the E10 and E10S. These are based on lightweight aluminium-rich platforms stiffened where necessary with steel tube, and they’re powered by 2.0-litre engines squirting out 200 and 250bhp respectively.
If that sounds vaguely Caterham-esque to you, it may be because Zenos was the brainchild of former Caterham bods Mark Edwards and Ansar Ali.
Prices for the E10 models start at £24,995, making them a pretty affordable way to put near-racecar levels of performance and handling on your drive.
But if you want to spend more, you can. Zenos is developing the E11, and it’s also planning to bring out an optional Track Pack.
This will include uprated suspension and a six-speed manual box in lieu of the standard five-speeder. It’s expected to cost £4000.
