Vocalis has appointed Graeme W Smith as director of strategic marketing. He joins Vocalis from Fidelity Investments, where he was director of product line management for voice systems integration.

WRQ has appointed Steve Cauble as country manager for UK and Ireland. Cauble has over 14 years' experience in the IT industry, including 10 years working for Xerox, where he played a key role in the launch of the flagship Xerox networking technology evolving from Xerox Parc in Silicon Valley, California.

Philips has appointed Mick Duffy as director of sales and marketing for its business electronics division in the UK. Duffy joins Philips from NEC UK, where he was sales manager for printers, monitors and other peripherals. Philips also has appointed Peter Wyatt as marketing manager for monitors. Wyatt has been with the company for almost 30 years, latterly as sales manager for Philips Business Electronics in the UK.

Zergo has appointed Gary Hardy to head its new implementation services. Hardy was previously head of consultancy for the company, which has also appointed Bill Balmer as managing consultant with responsibility for the company's advisory services, as well as education and training. He joins from Logica.
