Sagesoft Ltd has appointed Richard Fisher as general manager of Sage Multisoft. He previously was head of enterprise systems at Multisoft.

General DataComm has appointed Patrick Hurd as its new group services director for the European, African and Middle Eastern region. Hurd previously held senior management positions with Racal, Ascom-Timeplex and Logical Networks.

Trusted Information Systems has appointed Dr John Leach as principal consultant to set up its new UK information security consultancy. Leach joins from Zergo, where he was the longest-serving member of its consultancy team.

Howard Lake has been appointed director at Fundraising UK Ltd, the Internet fund-raising consultancy for charities. He joins from Amnesty International UK.

Inference has appointed Philip Padfield as vice-president of sales and marketing for Europe, Middle East and Africa. He joined Inference as UK sales director in June 1995 and became UK managing director in May 1996. Prior to his career at Inference, he was a regional manager for Northern European operations at Informix.
