A guitar linked with generations of rock stars has been sold for pounds 200,000 in aid of the Nordoff-Robbins music therapy centre in north London. The acoustic guitar, hand-built in 1987 and engraved with facsimile signatures of the Everly Brothers, has been owned by David Bowie, Paul McCartney and George Michael.
