A woman's claim to have been sexually abused by a neighbour did not give her the right to blackmail him for pounds 30,000 'compensation', an Old Bailey jury decided yesterday.
Linda Fraser, 33, argued that she had a legal right to send a letter demanding money to Alan Palmer, 60, who denies the sex allegations.
But the jury found Fraser, of Jenner Road, Stoke
Newington, guilty of blackmail. She was remanded for reports and will be sentenced later.
