A mother is battling to stop her local council using a toxic weedkiller spray which she claims causes asthma. Deborah Laing said her five year-old daughter, Katie, developed serious breathing difficulties after walking through the spray in Highgate. A Haringey Council spokesman said: 'We will give Mrs Laing warning of spraying near her home.
