Horse sense

Your correspondent Richard Phelps believes that "huntsmen adore only themselves" (Letters, 25 March). May I suggest he emerges from Liverpool to witness that this is demonstrably untrue. You will never see animals more superbly cared for than hunting horses, and many will testify that the family hunter is better fed and cared for than anyone else at home.
