Fools' paradise

Just a note of congratulations to Hugo Andrews and The Independent Magazine ("His year of Grace", 1 April) for the best April Fool's article yet. I don't know a thing about cricket, but I thought I did about Van Gogh and read the article through in amazed innocence. It was well after lunch time before I realised what day it was.
