This year's were the last OU graduates to receive their degrees at University hq at Walton Hall campus. From next year anyone selecting Milton Keynes as their ceremony venue will walk across the stage of the much larger new theatre at the heart of the city centre.
Among those who could claim be making the most of this historic occasion was Howard Skinner, BA, a part-time prison chaplain from Canterbury, who was accompanied by no fewer than ten relatives, including son Martin who also works in the prison service.
Howard said his OU course, World Religions, had been particularly valuable for his work in a multi-racial community.
