HALIFAX IS launching an instant access, account which pays higher interest to customers who make fewer withdrawals. The Saver Reward Account pays 4.5 per cent to savers making less than three withdrawals, 3.25 per cent for between four and 12 and 1.5 per cent for more than 13. Existing current account or personal loan holders get three extra three. Details from branches.

HARGREAVES LANSDOWN, a firm of independent financial advisers, is launching an Active Tracker Fund that aims to select better-performing shares from the FTSE 100 index.
