After teasing a Friends-themed cafe last month, Primark has now released the first photos of the coffee shop - and it won’t be hard to imagine Joey or Phoebe walking in the door when it opens to the public.
The cafe, a replica of the Central Perk coffee shop, is set to open in the Primark Manchester store tomorrow, Wednesday, 12 June, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the sitcom.
And despite 15 years passing since Friends ended, it will be as if no time has gone by - as the cafe will include everything from signature oversized coffee cups to a variety of New York-themed drinks and snacks.
You can even sit on the iconic Central Perk couch, where Monica, Joey, Chandler, Rachel, Ross and Phoebe regularly congregated, while the store will feature recognisable details including exposed brick walls and a chalkboard menu.
One difference between the fictional Central Perk and this one will be its impact on the environment, as the new version will be sustainable, using only ethically sourced coffee beans and compostable cups.
In addition to snacks, the Primark version of the cafe will offer customers an array of Friends-themed merchandise and memorabilia to buy, including t-shirts and mugs.
On social media, fans of the sitcom are already expressing their excitement over the launch of the cafe, which is opening in partnership with Warner Bros.
“Looks amazing, can’t wait for it to open,” one person wrote.
Another said: “Definitely coming to Manchester for this.”
