THE NATIONAL Farmers' Union and National Federation of Women's Institutes are to co-host a conference on care in the community next month. Brian McLaughlin, head of the NFU's environment department, said: 'Farmers are also people who live in the country. Policy debates in the countryside often ignore the social problems. Let's give them the priority they deserve.'
