Retail words of the week: Buckyballs, Acer TravelMate 8372, Ticketek

Retail search terms around the world with the largest increase in hits for the week ending September 4 according to Experian Hitwise.*

In the UK the search term ' bucky ball' registered the largest increase; ' bucky ball' refers to a new magnetic desk toy. Buckyballs come in a variety of shapes and the small magnetic series of balls can be manipulated into different shapes and patterns by the user. Available to buy at www.getbuckyballs.co.uk,  the desk toys come in a variety of colors and retail for around £25 (€30).

In Singapore ' acer travelmate 8372' topped the list of search terms with the largest increase. The 8372 is the latest model to be added to the range of Acer TravelMate portable business laptops available in Singapore, the device retails for around €1000.

In Australia the sports and entertainment ticket website ticketek was the search term with the largest week-on-week increase. Tickets for events such as the V8 Supercars Championship series and the upcoming Guns N' Roses concert are available to buy on the website at http://premier.ticketek.com.au/.

Experian Hitwise* - Fast moving search terms under the industry category 'Shopping and Classifieds,' ranked by the largest percentage increase for the week ending September 4 compared with the week ending August 28.
