Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have revealed that they are having a girl.

The couple announced the sex of their second child during their highly anticipated interview with Oprah Winfrey, which aired Sunday.

The topic arose during the first few minutes of the interview, when Winfrey commented on the Duchess of Sussex’s growing pregnant stomach and asked whether the couple knew what they were having this time around.

In response to the question, Meghan revealed that she and Prince Harry did find out the sex of their unborn baby but that she would wait until her husband joined her later in the interview to reveal it.

When Prince Harry joined Winfrey and Meghan, the soon-to-be father-of-two revealed that he and his wife are expecting a baby girl, a reveal that he said was “amazing”.

“Amazing. Just grateful. To have any child, any one or any two, would have been amazing. But to have a boy and then a girl? What more can you ask for?” Prince Harry said. “We have our family - the four of us and our two dogs.”

The couple also confirmed that this would be their last child, telling Winfrey: “Two is it,” before revealing that their second child will be born over the summer.

The duke and duchess first announced that they are expecting their second child in February on Valentine’s Day. At the time, a spokesperson for the couple said: “We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.”

The announcement came after Meghan revealed last summer that she had suffered a miscarriage.
