Prince Harry: Royals wish Duke of Sussex a happy birthday with family photos

On Tuesday 15 September, the Duke of Sussex celebrates his 36th birthday.

Prince Harry is currently residing in Santa Barbara, California, where he now lives with the Duchess of Sussex and their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

The couple moved to the sunshine state following their decision to step down as senior members of the royal family, a move that became official at the end of March.

While Prince Harry will likely enjoy private celebrations for his birthday due to the ongoing pandemic, fellow members of the royal family have marked the occasion by sharing posts on social media in his honour.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a photograph of themselves with Prince Harry from February 2017, when the trio took part in a relay race to promote mental health initiative Heads Up.

In the picture, Prince Harry is beaming while in the lead, his elder brother and sister-in-law trailing not too far behind.

“Wishing a very happy birthday to Prince Harry today!” Catherine and Prince William wrote in the caption.

The official social media accounts for the royal family shared a photograph of the Duke of Sussex with the Queen at the monarch’s Young Leaders reception at Buckingham Palace in 2017, Harry smiling while in conversation with his grandmother.

“Wishing The Duke of Sussex a very happy birthday!” the caption read.

Clarence House, which represents the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, shared two pictures on social media to mark Prince Harry’s birthday.

In the second, the duke is laughing with his father as the pair attend an event for the Invictus Games.

“Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duke of Sussex today!” stated the caption.
