On Monday, the Duke of Cambridge fronted a documentary dedicated to his love of nature and wildlife that featured some unseen photos of his children engaging with the natural world.
Prince William: A Planet for Us All aired on ITV and featured shots of Prince George, seven, Prince Louis, two, and Princess Charlotte, five, trying their hands at gardening.
In one shot, Princess Charlotte can be seen taking a flower out of a pot so that it is ready to plant into the ground.
Elsewhere, photos of Prince George show him using a spade to move the soil around in his garden.
There is also a shot of Prince Louis playing on the beach with a bright blue bucket.
In the documentary, William talks about his passion for protecting the environment and how it has grown since becoming a father.
“Seeing my children, and seeing the passion and the love for being outdoors,” he said.
"They love watching how the bees are forming the honey.
“George particularly, if he's not outdoors he's like a caged animal. He needs to get outside.”
When talking about environmentalism in his family, the Duke said: “My grandfather was well ahead of his time, my father ahead of his time.”
Prince William continued: "I really want to make sure that in 20 years, George doesn't turn around and say 'are you ahead of your time', because if he does, we're too late."
There is also a clip of Prince William talking to Sir David Attenborough alongside the Duchess of Cambridge.
“The children are very upset that we we're coming to see you and they weren't coming, they're massive fans of yours,” Kate told Sir Attenborough upon arrival.
"They are absolutely fascinated by the programmes."
Prnce William added: "Every generation, you know, after yours, David, has grown up listening and seeing all the things that you’ve shown them. And, hopefully, each generation listens a little bit more.”
