Getting to Sweden: Ryanair (0541 569569): flights to Skavsta, near Stockholm, or Kristianstad, near Malmo, start from pounds 80 return. BA (0345 222111) and SAS (0845 607 2772) fly from Heathrow to Stockholm; BA also has flights in association with Finnair from Gatwick. BA and SAS fly from Manchester. Getting to Iceland: Icelandair (0171-388 5599) has daily flights to Keflavik, near Reykjavik, from Heathrow and Glasgow. Iceland can also be a transatlantic stopover. Airline Network (0800 727747) sells Icelandair flights to the US or Canada for pounds 350-pounds 450. Getting to Denmark: BA's low-cost offshoot, Go, flies daily from Stansted to Copenhagen for around pounds 100 return. SAS operates the same route, with some fares below pounds 100. SAS and BA also fly from Heathrow and Gatwick. Copenhagen flights from Edinburgh and Glasgow are operated by SAS and British Midland (0345 554554). BA flies to Copenhagen from Birmingham, while SAS flies from Manchester. By sea, Scandinavian Seaways (01255 241234) sails from Harwich and Newcastle to Esbjerg.
