Valentine's Day: Google Doodle celebrates day of love with space-themed GIFs
Valentine's Day is on 14 February
Google is celebrating Valentine's Day with a space-themed Google Doodle, complete with cosmic GIFs.
On 14 February, people around the world will celebrate the day of romance by showering their loved ones with gifts, flowers and chocolate.
But this year, Google wants you to express how much the people in your life mean to you in a celestial way.
“Today, no matter where you are in the universe today, love is in the air,” the Doodle reads. “Whether your loved ones are light years away, or nearby, we hope no amount of space gets in the way of letting them know you’re over the moon for them.
“Wishing all a stellar Valentine’s Day!”
As part of the Doodle, Google is offering people the chance to send a Valentine’s Day GIF via Gboard, GIF Keyboard, or social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn by simply typing in ValentinesDoodle.
According to Google, the GIFs will also be available on WhatsApp, Microsoft, and Facebook Messenger.
In the example given by the search engine, a purple three-eyed alien in a spaceship zooms across the screen alongside the sentiment: “You’re out of this world!”
