Vanessa Bryant mourns daughter Gianna in heartbreaking Instagram post: ‘God I miss you’
‘I’ve been so lucky to have woken up to see your gorgeous face and amazing smile for 13 years. Wish it would’ve been until my last breath,’ writes model

Vanessa Bryant has spoken out about the loss of her 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, who died in a helicopter crash last month along with Vanessa’s husband, basketball legend Kobe Bryant.
Writing on Instagram underneath a photograph of a tribute to her late daughter, Vanessa said how fortunate she felt to have had Gianna in her life.
“My Gianna. God I miss you,” the 37-year-old began her caption.
“I’ve been so lucky to have woken up to see your gorgeous face and amazing smile for 13 years.
“Wish it would’ve been until my last breath. Mommy loves you to the moon and back. Infinity plus one.”
Vanessa’s post has garnered more than 3.8 million likes and thousands of comments from people sharing their condolences for her loss.
“Gone too soon. May her beautiful soul Rest In Peace,” wrote one person.
Another added: “Sending soooooo much love your way my friend [sic].”
Several actors also left messages of support, including Olivia Munn and Gabrielle Union, who both commented with several heart emojis.
In subsequent posts, Vanessa shared more photographs from what appeared to be a memorial service held in Gianna’s honour.
The most recent post features a photograph of a basketball jersey with Gianna’s name emblazoned at the top.
“My Gigi. I love you! I miss you,” the caption reads.
“You’ve taught us all that no act of kindness is ever too small. Mommy is still and will ALWAYS be so proud of you mamacita.”
