An Australian photographer has captured the raw and emotional moment a newlywed couple burst into tears of joy during their wedding photo shoot.

On April 30, James Day was assigned the task of taking wedding pictures for newly married couple Adrian and Rosyln who tied the knot in Bowral, Australia.

But just as he was setting up for the shoot at sunset, Day decided to ditch the typical, posed shots in favour of something more real.

“Just as the light became amazing, I scrapped everything I knew and I walked up to them and said, ‘Guys, stop posing. Just enjoy your first sunset together as husband and wife,’” Day explained in a Facebook post.

He continued, “I have a question for you, but I want you to tell the answer to Roslyn and not me.

“Out of the billions of people on the planet, you’ve chosen to spend the rest of your life with Roslyn. Can you tell her why?”

At that point, Adrian whispered his answer into Roslyn’s ear only for tears to start streaming down her face.

Without hearing what was said, the extremely moving moment even made photographer Day cry.

After the shot, the couple and their photographer joined for a group hug.

Since posting the image to Facebook, the touching image has since received more than 33,000 shares and an incredible 151,000 likes.

As for what was said, Day told HuffPost, “I had him whisper it in her ear because it’s for her ears only. I like that they were able to share that moment privately ― well, until it went viral on the internet.”

“This is what I love to photograph,” he added. “Not the overly posed interactions.”
