Sienna Miller has called out an interviewer for asking about her sexual history, describing it as a “totally gendered” question.
Speaking to The Sunday Times Style Notting Hill star Rhys Ifans , asking: “What is the point of listing someone’s sexual history? It is totally gendered.”
Miller continued: “The responsibility falls on the media to handle women responsibly and to apply the same rules interviewing actresses as they do to actors.
“And I can guarantee you, having read enough interviews about this, that these questions aren’t mentioned with men.”
The actor, who has seven-year-old daughter with ex-partner Tom Sturridge , went on to talk about how she was targeted by the press in her early career, particularly during the period when she was in a relationship with actor Jude Law in her early twenties.

“Somebody who has been as scrutinised as I was, of course privacy is going to be something you know how to be protective about, and with a good reason,” she told the interviewer.
Miller did speak openly about co-parenting, explaining she spends “a lot of time” with Sturridge, with whom she is raising her daughter Marlowe.
“I’m fortunate that I have had a child with an incredible man who I love and respect,” the American Sniper star added.
“I mean it’s as important to work on our relationship with our daughter as it is to work on our friendship and respect of each other.”
The 37-year-old revealed she is “settled and happy” with boyfriend, Lucas Zwirner , 28 and “would love to have more children” one day. When asked about whether or not she would be open to marriage, Miller replied: “I think I would be open to getting married, yes.”
