FAMILIES going on a skiing or other winter sports holiday can take out a specialist travel cover package from Europ Assistance.

The Family Continental Motoring Assistance (Winter Sports) policy provides motoring, medical, legal and travel cover for families who are driving to resorts in Europe.

A similar policy covers families who are travelling by train, coach or plane.

Special skiing benefits include cover of pounds 200 a person for loss of skiing equipment and cover of pounds 300 per party for extra travel and accommodation expenses incurred because of avalanches or landslides.
