PROSPECTIVE mortgage borrowers from Abbey National must complete their property purchases by 31 May to be eligible for Abbey's pounds 250 valuation and legal fees offer. The bank has promised to contribute pounds 250 towards these costs for new customers, but has now closed the offer to new applicants. For existing customers who move home Abbey is still offering a free valuation and a pounds 200 contribution to legal costs.
