FIRSTDIRECT is offering a half-price buying service for any share quoted on the UK Stock Exchange from 19 July to 1 October. The minimum commission will be pounds 10 on deals up to pounds 1,333. Deals up to pounds 7,000 are charged 0.75 per cent, with the maximum charge on any deal pounds 75. There are special arrangements for buying and selling BT shares.
