FIRSTDIRECT is raising charges for unauthorised overdrafts from the end of July. The monthly flat fee rises from pounds 20 to pounds 25. There will now be a charge of pounds 6 for each subsequent day during the month that the overdraft is increased. But the pounds 15 charge for informing customers about their excesses is being dropped.
