Halifax Building Society is launching holiday insurance for holders of its Maxim student account.

The policy covers personal possessions up to pounds 4,000, loss or damage to property including hi-fi equipment and up to pounds 1,000 towards the cost of re-sitting exams in the event of the policyholder suffering accident or injury.
