Abbey National is cutting interest rates on its unsecured personal loans. Those borrowing less than pounds 2,000 will pay interest at 20.4 per cent APR, compared with 21.9 per cent previously. Loans above pounds 5,000 are charged 16.4 per cent APR (16.9 per cent previously).
