PERPETUAL, the independent unit trust group, has made a clean sweep in the academy awards of the fund management industry.
It was judged best investment group of 1992 in awards presented by the performance-tracking company Micropal. Each of Perpetual's funds achieved performance that put it in the top 25 per cent over the year.
In separate awards by Money Management magazine, Perpetual was judged best in the category for groups managing more than pounds 500m.
Micropal's Sector Performance Analysis measures the performance of funds over various periods of time, relative to others with similar investment aims. The Money Management awards are based on statistics compiled by another performance-tracker, Fund Research, which measures fund performance each year over five years.
