The price of a first-class stamp will increase by 1p to 64p and second-class by 1p to 55p from 29 March, Royal Mail has warned.

But you can beat the rise by buying a book, or more, of first or second-class stamps now. You will still be able to use them in the future, even after prices have risen.

You can currently buy a book of 12 first-class stamps for £7.56, and 12 second- class stamps for £6.84.

If you know you're going to be using a lot of stamps in the future, you can pick up a sheet of 100 at £63 for first class and £54 for second class.

Track products for price falls

We know that prices change at stores and regular bargain hunters will be patient after spotting something they want to buy, knowing that it is likely to be offered cheaper in the future.

But it's a bit of a pain having to check back in to find out if the price has dropped. Wouldn't it be great if someone did that for you? A new website does exactly that.

Notifyy.co.uk tells users when a product in which they're interested has dropped in price. It tracks 250 popular high- street and online stores, including brands such as Amazon, Argos and Tesco, through to Currys, Boohoo, John Lewis, Missguided, Topshop and many more.

To track an item, users simply input the product's URL on the site, add their email address, and they are then notified when the price drops.
