Longest-ever credit card balance-transfer deal

Barclaycard has launched a 0 per cent balance transfer offer lasting 33 months, the longest yet. However, it comes with a hefty 2.99 per cent handling fee.

You can check whether you are likely to be accepted for the card, before actually applying, by using the eligibility checker tool at barclaycard.co.uk. It leaves no search "footprint" on your credit record, so won't affect your ability to get credit at a later date.

O2 app offers lower data charges for travellers

The app is available for download now in both the Apple and Google app stores. The O2 Travel tariff is available to all customers. Customers can opt in by texting O2TRAVEL to 23336.
