Thorn triumphs

Thorn EMI is the overall winner of the fourth annual environmental reporting awards organised by the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants. The company, which received its award last week from Michael Heseltine, President of the Board of Trade, was commended for a report that was "communicative, independently attested and which contained a significant amount of financial data". The award for best first-time report went to Rohm & Haas of Italy. BT, BP, Danish Steel Works and Dow Europe were commended.
