The deal

OnTrees is an app which allows users to get up-to-date info about their bank and savings accounts and credit cards on PCs and smartphones.

Good points

Having all your balances in one place can help with money management and budgeting and avoid unnecessary bank charges. Oh, and it's free.

Bad points

You have to link the app to your bank accounts, which some may feel uncomfortable with. The company behind it claims the service has "bank-level" security.

Conclusion

These services are huge in the US, where 10 million people use them, chiefly through a company named Mint. Similar launches over here have failed but OnTrees hopes the fact that its deal is "multi-platform" will make it more popular.
