Waters cuts costs

Waters Lunniss, the stockbroking arm of Norwich and Peterborough Building Society, has cut the cost of buying and selling shares by telephone. Customers calling its execution-only Brokerline now pay 1 per cent on deals worth up to pounds 5,000 and 0.1 per cent thereafter. There is a minimum charge of pounds 17.
