UNEMPLOYMENT fell by 13,600 in September to an 11-month low of 2,908,300. The fall more than offsets recent rises but the shine was taken off the figures by the loss of 1,000 jobs at British Aerospace and a forecast that 60,000 engineering jobs will go in the coming year.
