PEOPLE EMERGED from shelters to attend Christmas services in the Angolan highland city of Kuito during a lull in rebel shelling. On Thursday 30 people were killed and 37 wounded in the heaviest attack on the city since fighting between Unita rebels and the government flared anew early this month
