A TWO-YEAR-OLD girl was abandoned in a moving car after the driver jumped out while being chased by police. A police spokesman said: "Thankfully the child was not injured. The officers who found her were extremely shocked." The Vauxhall Astra was being pursued at high speed after it had struck a pedestrian in York yesterday. A man and woman were arrested after the incident.
