A woman accused of abducting a four-day-old baby, Lydia Owens, appeared before magistrates in Prestatyn, Clwyd, and was remanded on bail to a psychiatric hospital.

Susan Brooke, 39, of Rhyl, Clwyd, was accused of taking Lydia from the lawful control of her mother, Christine Owens, at Glan Clwyd Hospital, Bodelwyddan, last Friday.
