Bisto Foods has recalled packs of gravy amid health fears after cartons started exploding, the company said last night.
Some cartons of Bisto's Ready to Pour Gravy are believed to have been contaminated with a bacterium during production which have caused the packets to swell and burst. The company said the contamination could "potentially pose a risk to health". It has recalled from shops all varieties of 375ml packets of Ready to Pour Gravy with best before end dates of August and September 1998.
