Boy attacked with machete dies
A schoolboy who was battered with a machete outside his south London school died in hospital last night, his parents said. Carl Rickard, 14, had been in intensive care since the attack on 24 January outside Kidbrooke School in Eltham.
Last Thursday, three 15-year-old boys appeared in court charged with attempted murder. Two were remanded in custody to appear before Greenwich Youth Court on 12 February and the third was released on conditional bail. Another 16-year-old youth remains on police bail in connection with the alleged attack outside the school.
