Two 12-year-old boys yesterday appeared in court charged with the rape of a five-year-old girl.

Leeds Youth Court remanded them into the care of the local authority until Wednesday. Both spoke only to confirm their names and addresses. The alleged rape took place next to Harehills Cemetery, Leeds, on Sunday. Police, told of the incident by the girl's family on Monday, videoed an interview with her.
