A British-born woman and her four-year-old daughter have been stabbed to death in South Africa.
They were killed by a gang of bandits who broke into a guest house in the Western Cape, where Julia Fairbanks-Smith, 37, and her daughter Emma were staying as part of a trip to see wildlife.
She was brought up in Sussex and Hampshire and moved to South Africa 10 years ago. Four men have been charged and will appear in court today.
