Briton killed as funicular car crashes

A British woman died and three other Britons were injured when a cable car on a funicular railway broke loose from its tether and crashed into a wall in Quebec City, Canada.

The dead woman was named last night by the Foreign Office as Helen Tombs, 46, from London. The three injured suffered arm and leg injuries and one woman's condition was critical. Thirteen others were also hurt. Louise Jury
