ALLIED LEISURE, the Dorset-based Burger King to Megabowl leisure group, yesterday said it had received valid acceptances from shareholders representing 56.62 per cent of European Leisure's share capital for its offer for the Leicestershire-based pool halls group.

The acceptances will be enough to beat off a hostile approach from rival pool and snooker group Waterfall Holdings.
