ATLANTIC RICHFIELD is to pay dollars 125,000 in penalties following a complaint that its Arco Alaska subsidiary violated federal hazardous waste regulations at Prudhoe Bay, the US Environmental Protection Agency said.
The EPA said the settlement stems from an April 1991 charge that Arco improperly stored hazardous waste in ill-equipped tanks at the giant Prudhoe Bay field, North America's biggest oil development.
