GERMANY'S DAX index rose yesterday as technology-stock gains countered profit-taking at Deutsche Telekom and the broader market was seen challenging its all-time high.
The DAX index was up 0.38 per cent at 6,142.19 points, in striking distance of its July 1998 high at 6,224.52.
Top gainer SAP AG set a new high for this year and continued to benefit from the technology rally on the Nasdaq index in the United States.
