THE BLUE-CHIP Xetra DAX index rose 3.6 per cent to 4,878.24 to its highest level since mid-September, buoyed by good news from electronics giant Siemens and a bullish opening in the New York. The floor DAX ended 2.90 per cent higher at 4,841.72.
Siemens closed 12.40 per cent higher after it revealed plans for divestment and said it may float its Siemens Nixdorf Retail and Banking Systems unit and its semiconductor business.
