TRADERS SAID the market was still suffering a hangover from a flood of China-related share placements which knocked the main index lower on Thursday.

The Hang Seng Index lost 82.23 points, or 0.80 per cent, to finish at 10,139.75.

Brokers' estimates for the blue chip index next week ranged from 9,600 to 10,500 with investors reluctant to take new positions ahead of the US Federal Open Market Committee meeting on 17 November, dealers said.
