THE MEXICAN stock market hit a new all-time high in early trading, with telecom, media and bank issues leading the charge. Mexico's IPC index, which groups the 35 most traded issues in the market, hit a new high of 6,379.44 points, topping the previous record of 6,338.53 set on 26 November.
But one analyst said the index was "moving towards the 6,500 point resistance level". He warned that the market will have to consolidate before resuming a rally.
