US STOCKS were mixed with traders unnerved by recent comments about the over-valuation of high technology companies.

In afternoon trade, the Dow Jones was trading up 35.01 points - or 0.37 per cent - at 9,393.84. The Nasdaq was marginally higher at 2,520.47, up 14.58 points or 0.58 per cent.

One dealer said: "Shares are not grossly overvalued but we are stretching the overvaluation band."
